Root River

Had a chance to fish with the Outdoors Editor of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The story was in this weeks Sunday Paper.  Here's the video of us fishing.

Has anyone seen/caught any smallmouth on the river yet?

Anybody fishing this weekend with any luck? Where are the steelhead hanging these days? 

Was at Lincoln Park on Tuesday. Steelhead facility is not operating, dam is open for fish to travel upstream freely. Water still high and dirty. Did have one brown on, but couldn't land it.

Would like to make a trip over this weekend since it appears that water level/flow rates have normalized since last weekend.

I am disappointed that there is no longer a webcam on the USGS website to see river conditions.

At minimum, could anyone tell me if the DNR Steelhead facility is in operation or if the dam is open for fish to freely pass upstream?

Any update on the river conditions or fishing activity lately? Thinking about heading over there this weekend if the fish are running.
