Fished 2pm till dark. Saw one other guy out on the other end of the lake. Got one 8.5 inch gill and lost another at the hole. No other bites. Couple lookers but nothing else going. Fished mostly in 13ft with weeds. Popped holes out to 23ft and no dice. Just another frustrating day on rockland for me....

Went out this afternoon for a couple hours. Caught one rock bass and one gill. Both about 4-5 inches. The ice was at least 9 inches thick up to 12 inches wherever I punched holes.

Fished yesterday afternoon for an hour (2:30-3:30). Marked one fish in 10 feet of water. No bites. Surprised there was a uniform 5" all over the lake. Hoping to get over there and sight fish the weed beds one morning during the holidays. Water was very clear. Some years it is kind of cloudy depending on the fall right at ice up. Lots of fun to sight fish and close to home.

Checked at the end of the pier and it was 1"-1 1/2" ice with some open water in the northwest corner. Most of the lake was locked up. Hope the snow doesn't prevent ice formation next week. Gonna be really cold out.
