Thanks for the replies, maybe I'll try it. I can easily trailer out of Rice, drive to and launch at Whitewater.  But the weed killing is not good. My friend and I got skunked icefishing on Whitewater a few years ago, even after drilling holes all over. All else I remember was we saw only about two other guys icefishing then.

I  fished Rice lake last year by accident.  I'm a dumb-ass and thought I was launching on Whitewater Lake.  I don't think I brought any fish home out of this lake, but I didn't fish it very long.  Once I realized I was on the wrong lake I pulled out and went to Whitewater.  You should have no problem launching your boat there.  They've got a very nice landing and parking area.  Much less fishing pressure than Whitewater Lake as well, so fewer boats to contend with.

I have not really fished this lake in a few years.  And then it was Ice Fishing.  Rice Lake gets very green from the algae in the water.  Not sure why when the water coming out of Whitewater Lake is fairly clear.  The pan fish are fairly small. I have caught one nice bass a few years back.

Cannot get from one lake to the other. Rice has a boat launch. Have rarely seen a boat out there. Usually looks pretty weedy. Whitewater was a great bass lake until they started spraying all the weeds.

I haven't fished Rice Lake but I want to try it.  I've read most of the posts on the multiple Rice Lake Walworth Co. threads and apparently it is a bass, bluegill, and northern lake. Since no posts are on this lake since January 2014, I was wondering if anyone can give an update on what has been caught.  Also, can I get through to Whitewater Lake with my 16 foot vee hull?

CONDITIONS
Partly Sunny
BEWARE! had a friend go through what we thought was good ice by the islands off the point. He is ok. Ice is 8 to 10 inches everywhere except by the springs and the islands. On a better note, we landed a couple nice big bass and a 30" pike.
