Mike I just happen to Scuba dive red granit from time to time! Your gonna have a very hard timefinnding water over 110 feet deep! as far as trout are concernedthe upper 15feet is where to look! the fish dont survive below the thermocline!

I was targeting trout in the quarry with medium fathead minnows on a 40 ft slip bobber rig, a 15 ft slip bobber rig (both with 1/8 jigs), and a 1/4 jig with a minnow that I cast and slowly retrieve and jig in. I only had bluegill and bass follow it, but no trout. If anyone could give me any tips on how they'd catch trout in a 163 ft deep quarry, it would be much appreciated. Are any of the stocked fish left, or do they get fished out?
