Heading up to the flowage to fish for a few days. Are the walleyes stilling taking crawlers or is the minnow bite starting to pick up? Hoping to get a few for dinner while up there.

Kind of a tough bite today but no mayflies. Still managed a decent stringer. All on half crawler's jigging.

Disappointed to see another big mayflie hatch. They are Jumbo's! Pretty much shut down the perch bite but still managed a couple nice limit's of Walleye's. Bullheads bite all the time with another 30 or so boated. Please people who like bullheads come and get some. If someone would like me to keep some and is willing to meet me at the boat landing give me a holler. The eagles only eat so many!!

A friend and I were on the rainbow this morning looking for walleyes. I;ve not been here since the 11th of June. Hardly any wind at all and a few mayflies here and there. Most fish came on leeches.

It wasn't a lot of fun this morning on the Rainbow except for the fish we caught. The wind made it almost OK to quit. But we didn't. Ed and Beth Guzick from Rozelle toughed it out and didn't complain. We caught fish at first then the wind made everything more difficult. We went east side where the wind wasn't quite so bad but the fish didn't bite there.Went back where we started and had a flurry of action. 15 walleyes 1 huge smallmouth. We kept 3 keepers , some perch and a northern.

Fished the flowage this morning with gary of Minocqua . All our fish came in deep water on the channel edges. Most on jigs and crawlers. We kept 4 walleyes with a few jumbo perch.

Water is real high and fish are scattered around everywhere. Fluctuating water temps are keeping the fish shallow. Got to keep moving but still managing some nice stringer's.Doing better on night crawler's than minnows.

Shore-bound the next few days, and looking for advice on roughly where to cast for walleye around the flowage. I know the dam can produce, but I just keep donating hardware to the river over there.

The fish are coming out of the post spawn negativity and are getting aggressive. They are still scattered everywhere and you really have to keep moving. Had five keeper's with my good friend Dennis. Kept a few northerns to eat also.
