Fished Rainbow Flowage for the first time on 1/9 and 1/10. A day and a half produced 26 keepers including one walleye, six bluegills up to 10 1/2", six perch between 10" and 13" and 13 slab crappies between 12" and 14". Almost all fish came in 20 fow, just off of a 15 foot flat area. A white glow tungsten jig tipped with a waxie was the most consistent bait. Also took a couple on a bronze spoon tipped with a waxie and a jigging rap tipped with a waxie. A mix of five came on tip ups with minnows. Had a blast and will come back again.

I tried one of my favorite spots this evening on the north end. It's a 10-14 ft flat off the channel with stumps. The bite started 15 minutes before sunset and was done by 5pm. Action was great but not an eye over 12.5". Great to see those in the system but a keeper or two would been great! All fish were caught jigging an orange/glow buckshot rattlespoon tipped with a minnow head. My dead stick in the shack got played with once and my lone tip up never moved.
Travel is great with just about any vehicle. Trucks out everywhere and crossing the channel. The ice creeked and cracked a bit when a 3/4 ton diesel drove by but I'm still dry.
Hitting it again tomorrow first light.

Fished wood along the channel with no success,
fishing was very slow, ice was about 12 inches with few trucks driving out from the primitive west landing.

We fished totally flat water all day on Monday but still managed a pretty decent stringer. Even had a 20" smallie to put on the wall. Channel edge's with half a crawler's.
