To answer your question. Yes the bite on Potato is still strong. Catching all the panfish you could ever want, with plenty big enough to keep after sorting, and two days ago caught this northern on a small panfish jig and crawler, got lucky it was hooked in the corner of the mouth. Step dad caught a nice 17 inch walleye right before this also on panfish jig and crawler.

MOON PHASE (16%)
Waning Crescent

I was out Saturday from 2pm until dark. Almost no action until about 5:00, then they lit up for about 45 minutes, and then somebody flipped a switch somewhere and they shut back down again. Ended up keeping about 20, mostly medium sized gills, and threw back about a dozen more.

My dad and I went out on Saturday, the 18th, and didn't catch much. Caught one 26 in. northern on a tip up. Only caught small panfish on jig poles.

MOON PHASE
Last Quarter
Hammered the panfish yesterday afternoon and evening by the islands. Both crappies and gills, crappies ran small but did get an 11 incher. Gills were very nice but a lot of sorting

MOON PHASE (99%)
Waning Gibbous
Caught 100+ crappies from 2:30 to 6 this evening out by the islands. Typical Potato crappies, nothing special in size but more than enough for a meal. 18 fow with a frostee tipped with a waxie.

When fishing the narrows, south of the road. Head towards the middle and fish the basin, you'll be sorting a ton of little crappies but getting a bunch of eaters for a meal isn't generally too hard. Islands has crappies too but more of a bluegill bite, again lots of sorting little ones but can usually get some eaters too. If I am after giant panfish its Prairie, but Potato is great for when I want action and a limit.
