Everything is biting right now!! Throw your line in the water you are bound to catch something. Blue gills on the wood, perch in the sand and walleyes on the wing dams.

It was a great night last night if you like rough fish Puke I was out with Ross from Gander Mountain on a real nice current seam. I think we caught every species of fish except a cat. The white bass are up along with everything else including sea lampreys. The pliers came in handy as a club. We caught around 20 walleyes the biggest being 15 inches and that was only one. I did however lose my walleye that would have gone on the wall Crying She came right up to the side of the boat so I could see what I lost. I felt sick when the line went slack. I kind of wish I would have never seen her, but that's fishing. All fish were on artificials. Chartruse was the best color by far with a silver and blue coming second. I will be out prefishing pool 7 for a small club tourney this weekend if you see the blue Crestliner with the small Shih tzu stop and say hi. Good luck to all, Jesse

I saw tons of people out fishing yesterday with no reports??? Well, I caught my first walleye of the year followed by my 2nd, 3rd and 4th. The day started off by my buddy hooking up with one of those monster carp or sturgeon (We never saw it) It dragged us around for about 15 minutes until he broke off. We fished killer jigs, ring worms and minnow rigs to no avail. It was much too crowded by the dam so we went to find some reliable wingdams. Then, come noon I found a nice current seam along with another bass boat. I boated a 6# the first cast with a purple killer jig tipped with a tuffy. The other boat boated two ten pounders in two drifts. I could not believe it either. The window to catch big fish is now, so take advantage of the nice weather. My partner and I did keep two fish one 19 inch walleye and an 18 inch sauger. Remember guys release the big females they are the future of the river. Smile
