Isn't the amount of weed killer that can be used regulated, as to not effect fish? I wonder what is worse on a lake older two stroke outboards or weed killer?
Out Sunday from 9 to 2, caught 7 keepers over 8", fish were scattered, some in deeper (10-12 fow) others were right up on the shore (2 fow), plenty of spawning beds on north shore but were vacant of fish, some of the few I caught were females still holding spawn
Fished yesterday from 8 to 1, managed to put 10 keepers (7"-8") Gills in the live-well along with a few 9" Sunny's, had fun sorting through the smaller ones scattered along the east shoreline, fished the back bay with no success, weeds are getting heavy in the bay by the time the bigger gills move in it will be to weedy to fish, fish are holding in deeper water yet, However fishing is picking up outside of spawning beds on the main lake
Anybody doing any good here, was out for 4 hours last Saturday, caught 10 gills for a fish fry, had to work very hard to get 10 keepers. Fished the back bay, nothing but small ones, moved to the west side of the lake looking for shelter from the wind, managed to find a few larger ones along the piers and under overhanging trees, bigger ones were really scattered
