Jigerman,

There are some good walleyes in this lake. I used to fish it quite a few years ago with good luck. There is a big shallow bay just south of the campground on the east side of the lake. If you continue south of that bay there is a good weed edge that drops off into the channel. We used to either drift with the current dragging jigs with fatheads or troll crankbaits along the edge. It's usually a pretty good spot. The whole edge runs a fairly long ways. Good for all kinds of fish including walleyes. Hope this helps.

just wondering if anyone had some info on where to start looking for some walleyes. my parents bought a camper at the campground down by fosters restaurant. great people. anyways, this will be our second summer coming up here, and im just trying to figure this lake out alittle better. we spend most the time fishing for northerns or bass. i would like to catch some eyes. i have only caught 2 since we been fishing here and they were on accident. i've noticed this can be a hard lake to learn because the current is always changing it seems like. haven't found to many people with any info besides a few fellow campers. any pointers on were to start for some eyes, or any other helpful tips would be awesome and greatly appreciated. Smile the few lakes down by our house(mauston wisconsin dells area) are usually plum full of people playing. thats another reason i love coming up here. alot less traffic, and im determined to learn this lake because of the potential it has, and not just on one species of fish either. thanks for any pointers Smile openers right around the corner Big Smile cant wait to catch the first smally and yell BOO-YAH Wink

That body of water is not listed as open all year. I just checked the 06-07 Fishing Regs. You need to get below the dam on forest street in Eau Claire before you can fish walleye.
