The channel is slow/no wake year round. Doesn’t stop people from violating, tho. Seen many a ticket written out in the channel over the years

Is the entire channel out to the main lake no wake? Quite a few boats gunning it throughout the channel, so wondering if anyone knew.

MOON PHASE
First Quarter

Jeff, FYI Okauchee is not what it used to be, regarding Musky. Stocking decreased significantly for a while and large fish are very rare now. I stopped fishing it because I saw and caught too many under 40, where I literally used to catch 4/5 over 40"+. Used to be a great lake for potential 48" to mid 50s. May want to concentrate on some other lakes in area. There are a handful that you'll have much more success on. Good Luck

MOON PHASE (43%)
Waning Crescent

CONDITIONS
Cloudy

AIR TEMP
76° - 80° F

Fished Okauchee yesterday and today. Targeting musky the majority of the time, also tried for bass/northern a little bit.

Caught one 31" musky on a bulldawg on the deep side of a weed edge. Had 4 other followers between the 2 trips. Nothing real big. All 32-38"  The big ones continue to elude me.

The party boats were out in full force on Sunday. I did see the Waukesha county sheriff's boat stop someone for making too much wake in the channel. Today I heard someone hollering out to a boat that it is now "no wake" on the whole lake. Not sure if its true bc I didn't see anything posted at the launch. The few other boats that were out today were going fast.   The cooler nights should get the muskies going here!

I agree, sometimes keeping the smaller ones is more help then you think. When I fish with 6 year old I try to teach selective harvest. But sometimes when a lake is so over run with smaller fish it helps to keep them and let the bigger ones go. Plus the little ones are a breeze to clean. And since he catches a lot of smaller fish it allows him to keep them.
