Fishing has been good near oconto lately for me at least. Plenty of other people at the ramp reporting success as well. Lately I have been catching walleye and sheephead suspended in about 15 to 20 FOW. Lots of other boats out on this spot wouldnt be hard to spot about 3 miles southeast of the breakwater. Lots of guides and lots of trolling. Few people casting here and there but most people trolling harness ot crankbaits. Last week I caught most fish on #11 flicker minnows running about 6 to 10 feet deep over that deeper water.
Yesterday I had a great day casting shiver minnows in 13 to 15fow near weeds. Ended up catching 18 walleyes and lost almost that many as well. Everyone else was trolling around me and they were hooking into a few as well. I was able to see fish on my side scan yesterday and actually maneuver and cast to them and catch them. That was a first for me and it was a blast. Did not catch any big fish, largest was only 22 inch. Lots of good eater fish 17 to 20 inches. Did catch 3 shorts as well.
Easy way to catch fish is follow the flotilla right now. Lots of boats in small areas, but there are plenty of fish there.

Fished by trolling and with crawler harness for 3 days with no success. I fished all over Oconto, Little Sturgeon Bay and out of Suamico. I wasn’t out early and late though. Mostly fishing 11-6. It’s a big body of water I marked plenty of fish just could not get it going.

Fished out of Oconto 11am to 3pm today. Started with crawler harnesses in 3 to 5 feet of water. Had a fish on before I could get my second or 3rd rod out. Action was fast and furious at times. Kept 4 in the first 30 minutes. Then tried some different things before I kept my 5th fish. Caught a few more walleye on flicker shads in the same depth. Also caught 5 pike and a white bass. Biggest pike was about 28 inch. Ended up catching 10 walleye and kept 5 between 16 and 20 inches. Had my crawlers getting bitten off a lot, I'm guessing perch or white bass.
