Does anyone fish cats in this stretch above Indianford? Looking at google maps I see a launch about halfway between Indianford and Newville. Is this the DNR launch? Anyone who knows this stretch and can give me some basic info for catting I would greatly appreciate it. I normally fish above Fort Atkinson and am looking to explore a bit. How deep does this stretch get? Stuff like that. Thanks.

MOON PHASE (92%)
Waning Gibbous

CONDITIONS
Sunny

WATER TEMP
61° - 65° F

Went out jigging again on Sunday.  Just a few sub-legal walleyes and northerns, plus a big old redhorse.  Last Sunday 1 or 2 rigs parked at the DNR ramp, this Sunday they were parked all the way along the road leading to the parking lot.  I don't know when I've seen so many pontoons and pleasure boats.

Did some trolling and jigging (mostly jigging) in the Newville area yesterday afternoon.  It was tough to control my little light boat in the stiff breeze.  Ended up catching a 22" northern, 14" sauger, and 8" walleye.  No keepers.  Hardly anyone out.

Hey I got my own private site, can make it rain almost every time I go on the Rock. Water level is starting to recede some, temp is stuck at 58, down from 63 last week. Rain chased everyone about 11, I'm now carrying three sets of rain gear in boat after soaking last week. One legal today caught him trolling back to my jigging spot. This weekend should be prime, but the holiday will turn lake & river into a zoo. Good Luck All

Twelve days between trips, this weather is making things tough. Hopefully we've turned the corner, water temp was a healthy 56 today still got a ways to go, for good fishing. Took the same route as last time with almost the same results. Were several boats out jigging mouth, I just trolled right past them, wanted to cover as much ground as possible. Water is starting to recede some, still a good foot & a half above average. Stuck with my three favorite color shads, finally the bright blue paid off with a nice 20 incher, he's going home for supper. Not going to leave him for tourney guys. Varied speed between 1.5 and 2.5 depending on wind and current. Good Luck Everyone

Yesterday afternoon went out for final trolling shake down, believe it or not everything worked finally. Water is a good 2 ft. high but that's no problem. Drug cranks all the way from Harbor around to Maple beach and back, "nothing". Still a touch early, water temp was only 54.5 so will wait out next weeks cold spell, then try some other tricks. Did see Newville's best fisherman out working his magic, that's always a good sign.

On the off chance anyone is looking for a partner (or even an alternate) for the Thursday night league, I'd be interested. I don't have a boat but would love the chance to fish this area. Long time walleye guy. Please PM me and we can talk further. Thanks! Or if your just looking for some company any other time.
