Anyone fish around the islands this time of the year?  Just pan fishing?  Have a chance to swing through for a day later this week.... and hoping to skip the traffic by the dams.

MOON PHASE (99%)
Waxing Gibbous

Same thing every spring... Nobody says anything about the gills and crappie... Just the perch... I have been doing it for 30 years started with my grandpa and now with my boys and wife.. If you can catch them and keep what you want.

Fish assassin when you catch fish do you consider your killing them off or are you just pissed off because you don't catch any fish  and if you see people fishing illegally why don't you call the DNR Stoddard islands and La Crosse area  are very close to each other and MARIO does fish both areas that's all

I have not done the research but it would seam feasible to me that there are more fish in the river than any guides or fishing barge will ever have to worry about fishing them out. Prob. a small number in comparison to population.

with today's technology when you see someone violating like that, snap a picture and sent to the DNR

This Mario guy is pretty good he catches same fish on multiple different locations wow keep killing the perch off and in couple years when no one is catching them we will really hear the complaining they need to lower limit to ten guys on these floats catching 20 plus every day need to be caught too I thought fishermen stuck together but greedy sob they are I saw a guy snagging perch in tail on float Wednesday and kept every one he left with limit and never caught one legal fish
