Cronk you can check levels here.
Was wondering how the water levels are at the moment? I would like to get down to the float once this fall but wasnt sure how the river looks. I was in Lacrosse over the weekend and things were clipping along pretty good with water up in the trees in most spots. If anyone has a water report id be greatful.
Found jumbo perch, large crappie, and nice gills in 4-6' of water. Tried for flatheads one night, but had bad luck (someone beat me to where I wanted to set up, backup spot got both anchors stuck in the underwater logjam resulting in the loss of one anchor). Filleted my "bait" of 8" gills to salvage part of the night.
Targeted flatheads for the first time last Friday evening tried with live suckers and nightcrawlers with no success saw a very spectacular lightning show that was pretty cool DW check your p.m.
Bringing my wife and daughters over for 2 days of fishing and exploring, starting Wednesday. Has anyone been catching much? We don't plan on keeping much and are willing to fish anything that'll bite. Any info would be appreciated.
The water level has dropped a lot and is in good shape. Getting a bunch of northern pike, sauger, a few walleyes, and the bluegills just moved in. And of course, sheephead. Been a very good bite this week and should stay good for awhile
