The water level has dropped a lot and is in good shape. Getting a bunch of northern pike, sauger, a few walleyes, and the bluegills just moved in. And of course, sheephead. Been a very good bite this week and should stay good for awhile

The water is dropping now and I expect the gates to go in tomorrow or Thursday. With the water warming and baitfish around, I think the fishing will pick up fairly quick and keep getting better the rest of the month.

Nice day to be out. It was one perch caught then two suckers.....never seen so many suckers. Most boats I have seen on the water as well as people on the float so far this year. Current was stronger then it has been and Corp of Engineers anchored a huge barge along the wall next to the lock that took out that area for fishing.

Water level came up a little but still considered low for this time of year. I'm sure it will be rising later in the week. Perch bite has been good most days, and still have eggs yet. Getting some walleyes which hopefully pick up with the warm up. Also a few northerns around.
