Stopped down today, the crappie and walleye are starting to move back in near the new pavilion. Seems slip bobber rigs and jigs tipped with minnows are the best bet from what i've been told. anyone else have a tip?

I stopped down their a few days ago and saw one guy wading on the spillway side, didn't know if he caught anything. The high water levels are causing the mulch and new trees they planted to erode away.

Anybody been catching any down here? Either side? Or tried down the walking trail? I see all the damn are open and the water is starting to come down the spillway. My two cents. Tight lines!

I have waded a few times this winter and haven't had any luck since late Nov. Fished 3 hrs the other night and didn't get a bite only snagged a dead burbot. Seems like for whatever reason the fishing has really declined the last 2-3 years. No luck on the dam side either.

Had to try some casting and get out fishing. Got here at 11:45am on Tue.and stayed for about an hour. Not even a bite. Water is a bit low and the 3 gates closest to shore were closed so the fishing wasn't bad. Tried a few different jigs and twisters. There was also a guy over on the other side with waders, did not see him catch anything either.

My father has been fishing in the morning. He fishes mostly for walleyes. He said they are not swimming yet, but will be soon.

I fished the dam not too long ago(maybe 2 weeks ago) and got a few bites on a shad and on some worms too. I was going for anything that would bite, and of course ended up with a few sheepshead, but also caught a nice 16 inch walleye. I definitely didn't expect it. Nice surprise. Last month, I caught a decent sized catfish on a small shad when the water was low. When the dams first open up, I saw people pulling up handfuls of white bass by the fence, but haven't seen any recently.

Just moved to the area. First time posting. Fished dam from 2-5 today. Caught a mixed bag of sheeps, white bass, and a nice smallie! Caught them on marabou jigs and small spoons. Also snagged something big, never got it to surface and couldn't turn it around, was only using 4# test. 3 farthest gates are open and water is pretty high, compared to what I've seen during the summer.
