Out from morning until afternoon and caught a large amount of very small bluegill.  The largest were 7" but only caught two bluegill at that size.  Also caught a 9" perch.  All were catch and release.  Most action occurred early because of the hot temps.

Apparently they are spraying pesticides again this year. They did it last year as well but are covering a greater area this year. What are they trying to accomplish? The weeds will just come right back all they are doing is hurting the fishing more and more. Also the pesticide has no warnings against fishing/swimming so why are they shutting down boating for the weekend?

Cool pic craw, walked by that spot yesterday water is very clear. I saw a couple gills but not like that. Tons of ducks which is always nice to see.

Anything happening on McDill anymore? Used to fish this lake alot 20 years ago. But after a few draw downs, it didn't seem to recover well and I sorta gave up on it. Hoping to hear more encouraging news, as I would love to bring  my grand daughters out on the water. If anyone has any good current reports, it would be greatly appreciated. Best of luck to you all.

I've done the fisheree 2 years now. Hours run 12-4 but I think a lot of guys are fishing majority of the day. Pretty relaxed rules I think you can register bass panfish and northern. I set out 3 tip ups for northerns and kick back. They have demos at the tent raffles are at 4 I'd purchase your tickets early. Becomes crammed last minute. like I said fairly relaxed rules it's more of a fun event for the community not so much a competitive fisheree, good luck I'll be there too.

Looking to go to the Izaak Walton fisherie this weekend. I looked at the poster but it doesn't say anything about the fishing contest. Does anyone have any information on it?
