Monday morning I received a call from a man who found the box and planned to return it per the contact information taped on back with a statement that reads: "Inherited from Gary XXXXX. Please return if found."
I inherited this tackle from my late father and my late grandfather. It's not valuable monetarily. This nice man that called me understood the sentimental value of the box and hid the box behind a blue barrel, by the yellow door at the 309 building in Marshall Firemen's Park. When I went to retrieve the box today I noted a single set of tracks in old snow, a day old, leading straight to the barrel and back to where a car was parked. The tackle box was gone.
This box holds tremendous sentimental value to me. It is worth a total of $30 probably. I would really appreciate whoever found this item to contact me or return the tackle box to where they found it. Also, if you note one of your friends or family toting around a new tackle box, please ask them to do the right thing. I would be in your debt.
Thank you for reading and please try to help.
I have contacted Parks and the Police Station to see if the box was returned. It was not.
