We're heading up in a couple weeks for a long weekend of fishing.  Looking for some general advise on walleye and perch fishing.  What depth should we look for, and what presentations/ baits generally work well.  We're probably fishing from the Green bay side of Little Sturgeon.

Thanks and tight lines!

Waxing Gibbous

CONDITIONS

ICE DEPTH

AIR TEMP

Fished Rileys Bay yesterday from about noon to 4:30.  44 FOW.  Saw quite a few whities and a couple perch.  Whities were fairly aggressive (compared to some days) right away for about an hour.  Put 2 on the ice.  Then pretty neutral to negative til bout 3:00.  During this time I hooked 4 more that I lost half way up.  It was a very light bite.  Then fairly aggressive for the last hour or so.  Put 2 more on the ice.  Small jig tipped with a minnow tail worked best.  Hooked a couple with same jig tipped with a waxie.  Only one fish hooked on a slider.  Ice was a solid 16 inches but I was hearing small cracks continuously.  I didn't see any cracks open up.  Travel was good with a truck.  Mud puppies were a pain in the butt.  Had 3 on the screen all the time.  Seemed like whenever they mucked up the water a bit, no fish would come in.  My suggestion...let 'em bite and pull 'em outta there.

If anyone goes out tomorrow during the warm up or after on saturday, would you guys please post an ice condition report, how much melting around the shacks etc.  Thanks guys....tights lines to all.

Was parked at the public boat launch next to Wave Point on Saturday morning and my newer red F150 was struck by a hit and run driver between 8 a.m and 11 a.m. Pretty good dents in my rear quarter panel.

I figure this is a long shot, but if anyone knows anything, please feel free to pm me on here, I'll throw a $500 cash reward to anyone that has any info that leads to catching the at fault party.

Good day out with my dad!! Had to move a few times. Ended with 16 decent perch and around a 100 smelt. Wasn’t thinking we were going to catch smelt at all. But a bonus!!!

Just wondering how the pike bite is and where a good spot is to go out for them?

With mid-January upon us, now is the time to start thinking about catching huge pre-spawn walleyes!! We are about 60-80 days away from open water fishing on Green Bay, and ice out is the perfect time to put that personal best walleye in the boat. Catching a 10 lb plus walleye, when fishing peaks, is an every day event, and I have openings for most every day in the spring. Give us a call if you're interested. Capt Jerry

Adding to this, how deep do most guys target the perch? What type of cover should I look for here?
