MOON PHASE (4%)
Waning Crescent

Their are so many small bass on the lake. If you can get past all of the small ones you may find the bigger ones. Personally I do better with live bait. Leeches bouncing off bottom or slip bobber works best. I have caught a 22.5" smalley out of here. I saw a guy at landing with a 26.5 " largemouth. That's biggest I've ever seen out here. Good luck

Today was my 1st time on this lake. We started the day off at White Potato lake but left after a few hours. For some reason I'm just not a fan of White Potato.

Anyways getting back to my report. Like I said it was our 1st time on Leigh Flowage and I really like all the high cut tree's annd stumps! The only time I saw anything that came close to this was Lake Douglas in Eastern Tennessee. The tree's on Douglas were much more extreme, but it was a nice change of pace to be able to fish tree's and stumps and not just weedbeds. So we boated around 25 bass and of the I think 7 were over the 14 inch mark with only one breaking the 16 inch mark. It would have been nice to find a PigBass but there is always next time.

Anyone have any advice for me on this body of water? What's your personal bess Bass you caught out of here?

Fishing has been good. Lots of small bluegill, but it doesn't take long to weed out the small ones to get a limit. Largemouth have been good. They always are. Northerns are horrible. Just a note. There is no size limit on northerns so please, take what you catch. There is just to many of them and they are all between 18 and 25 inches. They are great to eat, and if you think cleaning them is hard, just go on to you tube with a search for cleaning northerns and you can find out how to clean them. Anyone with questions on this lake, I could probably be of some help just message me.
