Looking for an open seat for 1 or 2 people for this Sunday evening July 15th. We are doing a charter monday the 16th in Kenosha. But we'd like more fishing time. I'm not a salmon rookie. Willing to fish anywhere from Milwaukee south to the Winthrop Harbor area. Call or Text Tim at 651-438-2987

Fished 2 in the boat this morning, launched at 4 pulled lines at 7 to head to work. Went 2 for 2, both coho. One on a white/blue/red spoon down 35 on the rigger, one on a dipsey with a glow bloody nose 70 LOC. Both fish came in 90 FOW. Talked to some other guys who did well a little shallower than us.

Dan, I wish I had seen this earlier, I would have thrown a few hails on channel 68 for you! Fished 2 in the boat yesterday, launched about 4:15, pulled lines around 1pm. Hot bite from 5:30-7:30, dead for us after that. Started in 100 feet, had 4 hits by 140 FOW. Finished the day 3 for 8. Worked out to 200, back into 60. We marked a decent amount of fish and bait in 50-80 FOW in the late morning/early afternoon, but couldn't get them to bite. No real consistency on the hits, flasher/fly and spoons on just about every rod got touched when the bite was going hot.
One note, and not to be the grumpy old man, but yesterday I witnessed some pretty unsafe and upsetting stuff. Most of the rules are in place for all of our safety.
We had a boat launch into us in the morning, there were 3 open piers. He caught the rope in time, but c'mon guys, have some etiquette and common sense.
To the boat that launched at the same time as us and went out without nav/anchor lights. Please get them or fix them or turn them on, you've got a low profile bass boat on big water, lights are important for everyones's safety.
The 2 boats that blew by in the harbor at at least 10 mph, please remember the harbor is no wake.
Sorry to be "that guy" but I think most of us would prefer to get home without incident or accidents.
FishinFool, feel free to say hello as well, i see your out there a bit, love to hear from kenosha guys! I would say give us a ring on the marine radio but dont have a handle yet, normally on 68 but if you shoot one out for Dan, I will respond if we hear it, hopefully tomorrow goes well for everybody....
Hey JB, we did see you out there in your black crestliner that day lol. Thanks for the updates, we plan on being out there tomorrow, wave forecast kept us off today. We are in a black lund with Mercurys on the back, say hello if you feel like it! Pulled by a gray ford crew cab, maybe see you out there soon!

Fished 630-1130. Went 7/16? on coho. Best depth was 90’ sound of town. Took hits on every rod, but the 3 color. The stand outs were a mag Dipsy out 60 with a dragon slayer flasher and a frog fly. The next best was a rigger down 40’ with a mag flounder pounder.

A friend was on a good bite out of Kenosha and kind enough to share info. Headed out finding 67.5° water temp just outside the harbor. Greeted by unexpected 2 foot rollers left over from yesterday. Set lines in 120 feet of water heading east south east. Didn’t have half the lines out and a Dipsy fired. It got real busy real fast and went 5 for 6 before 145 feet of water where we turned around.
It’s slowed a bit after 630 but were still getting bites here and there. At 730 we made a pass East With no bite so continued past 145 out to 180 and picked up 3 of 4 on the way. Temperature at 40 feet down range of 48 to 51.5, colder out deeper. Kept the Depth Raider (DRx-10) 2.3-2.6. Did not mark bait and very few hooks. Wondering if our good hook up rate of 22 for 26 related to less bait around and a more aggressive bite. Tripled when we had 19 in the box. Kept 19 Coho , one rainbow and released 2 LT. Creel census at cleaning station said only 3 kings brought in this a.m. checked by them and biggest 17 pounds.

Solo trip this morning, fished 5-10. Went 4 for 8. Started in 150 worked to 200 and passed back and forth in that area. Hot bite from 5:30-6:30, 6 hits. Everything from dipsey at 70, 2 color, and rigger down 60 got hit. Bite died after that. Worked in to 130 and picked up a nice (7lb) coho and a 12lb steelhead around 9-9:30. White flasher with white/blue fly, bloody nose and blue jeans spoons, as well as orange/spotted pro King all got hit. All hits were on E-W or W-E troll.
