MOON PHASE
Full Moon

ICE DEPTH
2 inches
We checked the ice on saturday and sunday and I wasn't about to try walking in water deeper than 5'...  Hopefully the ice will be good come the weekend.  We did kayak fished this 2x in october and never caught a decent size gill.

Anyone do an ice check on Lake George yet? I'm seeing reports of other lakes in the area having 2-4 inches of ice, but wonder about George. Thinking it will be ready for the weekend, if not already.

2-23-16 report- 2 guys for a couple hours at dark. slow for bluegill. Bass seemed to be biting best, which was fun on 2 pound test panfish rods. Caught bass, perch, crappie, and pumpkin seed/sunfish. Just not enough size or numbers. Hole hopped the majority of the lake as there was tons of open or almost open holes left from the weekend. Ice was 12 inches of crap. Very soft and easy to drill through. Might be pretty iffy after this weekend out here for safe travel. beautiful night with lots of sandhill cranes back. spring is coming!

Went out last night for a couple hours hole hoped all over the lake only marked fish in a couple holes didn't seem to be to interested. Only caught a perch and a bass on the east side of the lake. Fish were biting really soft and I missed a whole bunch.

If someone could pm any spots where fish are always coming through that would be great. I never seem to catch any keeper fish here. Thanks

2-11-16 perch, bluegill, crappie, bass caught. Same amount of keepers as night before. Less schools of little ones. In the name of whining. My timing of being able to go fishing sucks. Cold and windy when I am off the weekend. If I am working or at a basketball tournament it is in the 30's. Never fear weekend warriors, I work next weekend and I see the extended forecast is in the 40's. Go figure!!!

2-10-16- braved the frigid temps from 330p to 530p. Caught lots of fish (just not big fish). 1 perch, 1 bass, 1 warmouth, lots of little bluegills (would see 4-8 of them at a time on depth finder) and 7 bluegills i kept between 7 1/2 and 7 3/4 for a meal. jig and spike
