MOON PHASE (28%)
Waning Crescent

There has been no winter kill as I have been fishing lake five on and off since 2010. Late February is the best action.  Constant flags of all the 14"-18" pike you want. Fun action to bring kids and keep them entertained.  Occasionally you get a nice pike over 20.  We've had multiple outings with 5-10 people put out big tip up spreads and in late February have no problem getting anywhere from 50-100 flags. Nothing much worthy of even a picture but its action. Good ol lake fiver

Great, thanks for all the replies!

$29 is a little steep, but I know it will feel good to get back on that lake after all these years.    Cheers!

(I'll try to remember to post a report)

Several buddies fished this lake this past winter. Lots of decent bass, big pike, and tons of panfish!!!

My wife and son fished this lake few years ago and my son caught a nice large mouth and I hooked and lost a northern so I would say it's still worth fishing ,let alone the pan fish in there

Didn't this lake winterkill bad a couple years back? I don't fish here but I live in the area.  Might not be worth the drive anymore.....

I don't have his number but it should be about $20 for the rental and $1 for additional life jackets.

Thank you for the info.  If you hear what the cost is that would be highly appreciated!  But this helps to know.  I remember it to be a really good fishing lake with some bigger bass and northerns.

Yes, I drive by frequently and I can say for sure there is a place there that still rents boats. I don't have the number but I know there are signs posted  there

Hello,   Could someone tell me if they still rent boats on Lake Five?  And if so, how much?  I use to fish lake five over 15+ years ago, and I'd like to come back next month but I live pretty far away.  I'd hate to drive over to find out the boat rental place no longer exists.  If anyone has a phone #, I'd appreciate that too.

BIG THANKS!
