The lake is pretty much perfect to take kids out right now. The water is clear and weeds are just starting to come up. We saw small gills everywhere. If you are looking to give a young angler a fun experience this would be a good spot.

Taking my girlfriend's dad out ice fishing for his first time Saturday. I have not fished Lake Emily before and am only looking for information on 1. If I can still drive out there in my truck after the weird weather and 2. if there are any places on the lake I should stay away from. (I heard there is an aerator on the lake?) Safety information is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks and tight lines.
