Anything happening lately with panfish? Never fished here before, but we'll be in the Dells this weekend and I was thinking about sneaking away for a couple hours. TIA

Will be traveling in from out of town this weekend.

Looking for ice conditions.  Safe enough for ATVs? Thickness after the rain and warm weather?

Awfully hard to predict that far in advance. Just in the last 5 years, ice out was anywhere from mid February to early April. Crappie fishing has been better than the perch fishing

Coming from Shawano to stay at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort March 16-18 for my daughter's volleyball tournament.  Just wondering if I should bring my ice fishing gear for downtime.  Does this lake typically still have fishable ice mid March?  Any tips for location/tactics?  I'd be targeting crappie and/or perch as that's all that would be open that time.

MOON PHASE (97%)
Waxing Gibbous

First time ever here. I was the only guy out not in a shanty. Saturday evening got a few gills and a couple crappie. This morning I got a dozen or so crappie and a few gills. Also got my first bullhead through the ice. Marked tons of fish trick was finding the right jig/bait combo to get them to hit and even than it was very light

MOON PHASE (97%)
Waxing Gibbous

CONDITIONS
Partly Sunny

ICE DEPTH
12 inches

AIR TEMP
Below 0° F

WATER TEMP
Below 40° F

Was out from about 11 am till 4pm, came on from Kaminsky park access, fishing in about 15 to 16 feet of water. Very cold windy day. Buddy caught a crappie and I caught a sunfish and a striped bass. Marked a lot of fish just off the bottom and had schools move in and out around 12 feet. We tried minnows, wax worms and artificials but they just weren't biting good. Had a couple tip ups out where the water got a little shallower and no flags.
