Navionics has it at 31 feet. Never had luck there on ice but never gave a good effort. Been wanting to get back there and really work it. In the summer back in the late 80s, I catch mostly a ton of stunted gills and a few nice perch and bass. Good luck out there. If you find the small gills post it. Like to take the kids out

My first attempt at ice fishing was on this lake. I cut a hole with a hatchet and tire iron. I remember it being 18 ft in my spot (I had a 20 ft rope and lowered the tire iron to check the depth.) Got cold pretty fast and quit without a bite. That was probably 1965 or 66. On the west side where the crick comes in. I was surprised it was that deep.

Robollio is correct, the website is way off. I used to live near this lake when I was a kid and fished it out of my inflatable kayak that I backpacked over there on my bike. Its 26 ft I think, and has always been a decent bass lake, some pike too

Access on northeast side of lake. Down a drive way. Park on the road. Very easy to miss. 25ish feet deep. They stocked pike a year or 2 ago.

The DNR website says that the maximum depth of Upper Kelly is 9 feet. Is that correct? Thanks in advance. Jim

i would have to agree with many other anglers. it is very kind and thoughtful of many people offering advice and comments of what were when how ect ect. but when it is a small body of water. it will get pounded. and people fish it out way to fast. im very selective on what i keep for food. i fished this lake for many many years, and the fish pop has dropped dramatically from what it was back in the day because of that reason.i enjoy smaller waters. i fish out of a fishing kayak. and its nice not getting hammered with waves constantly. people continue to do that there will be nothing left but french fries for our kids to catch. happy fishing all

This thread should be deleted. Most like the reason why this lake is crap. Guys posting about big crappie limits and bluegill catches and stuff. This lake is too small for it to get pounded they way it has been over the past few years and with guys practically posting GPS coordiantes...bye bye fishery Sad JMHO.

There is a Park on the south west end of the lake. There is also a boat launch on the northeast end of the lake. That one is hard to find because you have to go down someones driveway to get to the launch.
