I drove out to Quam drive yesterday. The lake looked locked up from there, and off hwy 14. Saw a group or 3-4 guys fishing bout 100 yds off the launch.

Launched 6:45 a.m and fished till 12:30. Very windy, a lot of bloom in the water. Fished all over the lake...outer weed lines, shallow, drift fished with small spinners and waxies and trout worms rigged with jigs like rat finkies, etc. Two guys hitting it for almost 6 hours...5 nice gills, one decent perch, four throw back white bass and one throw back walleye about 14 inches. Lots of other boats complaining and moving around also. This was today, Thursday, we had a cold front move through on Wednesday and we were under high pressure. That plus being in a post spawn time I think contributed to everything wrong. Fish basically were scattered very thin across the whole lake and I don't think we even established a common depth to catch them at. Will give it some time before we go back and keep checking this page for reports.

Well this will probably be my last report till ice. Sat 12:00 till 4:00 2 eyes 24 and 19 1/2, 1 northern 32, 3 crappie, yellow and white bass asst. Lots of fun and back in they go. After this last spring for walleyes comparatively it was slow. What a year it was!

put in at Amundson's landing just as a lone fisherman was bringing in a 27 1/2" walleye. He was kind enough to share his successful pattern with us and it proved to be good info. My partner and I fished from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm and caught smallies, bucketmouths, white bass, northern and what we came for. . .walleyes. We found them in the are from Lund's point to the rock pile in 5-14' of water and caught them with shiners, magnum fatheads, and silver #5 shadraps. Oh, by the way, there is only enough room for 8 rigs at the landing and a parking violation will cost you $20! Keep your tip up, bob
