Staying at Hilltop this week. Fished muskies HARD and haven't seen one. Caught several bass on musky baits. Heard of a boat that caught a 39 incher. Another family on the resort got some good perch. Fishing has been tough, but the weather has been inconsistent with 90 degrees Sunday, then 60 degrees and rain the past two days. There are fish here, but they are tricky. I heard that a group on the lake is going to try to raise $$ to stock walleye. Hopefully it works out. Keep casting! I'm up to 6000 casts, only 4000 to go then I get a musky, right???

I recently came across property on this lake and I'm wondering how the fishing is. The stocking efforts have been somewhat encouraging for a smaller lake. Generally speaking I like to target muskie and walleye.
Does it get hit hard with the spear?
Thanks in advance.

We stayed on Lower Kaubashine last summer and the only landing that is available to use on the lake is located at Hilltop resort. If I remember right, if your not a guest at the resort then you have to pay 7 bucks to launch. Hope this helps.
