Using the seagrant/wdnr fish is page helps a ton! http://www.seagrant.wisc.edu/Home/Default.aspx?tabid=605&FishID=66

As well as this tool to help you find where the fish you're looking for has been found before. https://cida.usgs.gov/wdnr_fishmap/map/

Aww man!  At least it is different than a creek chub.  I've caught those before.  I guess I've got shiner on my list now.  The spawning males were really beautiful as far as their colors.  They almost looked purple.  The video didn't do them justice.  I guess I've got to get back out there and try again for hornyhead chubs.  I'll know what to look for (the barbels on their mouth).

Those were common shiners. Aslo hornyhead chubs have a barbel at each corner of their mouths and males have a prominent red spot behind their eye. Those were just spawning male creek China. Nice video. Keep up the fun fishing!

I was after little guys, hornyhead chubs.  I used a worm on an aberdeen #6 hook.  No bobber.  No sinkers.  I just cast into the river and let the worm drift down.  There's a lot of chubs in the river (plus rock bass, little perch, and little bluegill).  I also saw a big carp and caught it, too (on ultralight gear no less).

Went out at around 6 AM on the morning of July 10, 2014, saw what I am assuming to be a Largemouth Bass feeding in the waters near the bank around the curve of the shore (including pics of the area). Also near the middle of the pond I saw numerous fish coming to the surface for the variety of flies there. I am assuming these are trout. I used a KVD Sexy Frog lure attempting to catch the bass with no luck and threw a Rapala spoon out in the attempt of catching a few trout also with no luck before my line snagged and snapped and I called it around 7:30 as activity seemed to die down. I have caught good size bluegill off nightcrawlers on the other side of the road off the bridge near the park usually around 8 PM in the early summer months (May and June).

Trout are full up and biting! I've gone for a total of about 3 hours and caught about 30 so its been good. Stay with SHINY spinners. You can try corn but only on some certain days its a hit. Good Luck!
