How do I get to the boat ramp here? According to Lake-Link there isn't a boat ramp which I know isn't true; just don't know where it is. I'll be coming from the south (Hwy 70) assumably on Cty F.

Is it cement? Pier? Parking?

Thanks in advance!!

I will be targeting musky (ALL CPR) on Gunlock and Shish. Any tips to speed up my learning curve would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to PM. I can exchange notes for Squirrel or Pike/Round chain.

First time on this lake so far this winter, may be the last. The usual areas I find weeds(and fish) were devoid of weeds(and fish). Managed one little bass and a couple perch. Talked to the only other group out today and they did as bad as I did.

yeah lunkeron the lake is like that now since the size limits on there for bass is outragous and you cant catch much for big gills or crappie the lake is stunted you can go in summer and catch 45 to 50 bass a day not one over 15 inches.. we caught one 20 inch largemouth this summer that was at 2 am.. theres big bullheads in there though

Caught lots of small panfish 5-7 fow on a variety of baits. Only a few decent fish. Only small perch if I moved deeper. Also had 5 flags, only one fish iced from those and it was a small largemouth.

Fished yesterday for a couple of hours. Did alright on gills of various sizes though most were small. Waxies outfished spikes but plastics were far and away the hot bait for the day. 5-7 FOW. Caught one tiny perch as well but the rest were gills.

Fished the far s/w end, straight west of the channel that goes to Big Shish, setting up mostly for gills. Had to sort through a lot of small pannies like usual but had a decent enough amount for a fry. We walked out from a lane through the woods off Duner Pt and had no trouble at all with ice conditions. There had been some slush but that had frozen over nicely.

We concentrated on water about 7-8 ft over weeds, but found that as we moved from that depth north, to about 12-15 ft, the weeds almost disappeared to just sporadic sand grass, and we found some decent (12-13") perch.

No northerns, though I only spent a couple of early morning hours chasing those...and did talk to a couple of other guys that said they did 'OK' with walleyes (evenings). I didn't press them for details.

Anything happening on Gunlock these days? Looking forward to tip up racing with the Iowa boys next week. Uncle Greg better wear his track shoes!

Dogwood, I was up two weeks ago and the water levels are way up so the channel was no problem for my 19 ft. boat. I've had better luck on Shish this year than Gunlock, though you can always find panfish and bass in the weeds on both. Had a fat mid 40" musky on Shish but lost him boatside. Also got three norts on the weed edges. Have fun.
