Was out with a friend and his son on Saturday the 10th, had to work hard for 8 fish. To much traffic near my shanty. Both caught their first whitefish. Had a great day!

Fished Sat. 1/27 very slow in the am. Fishing picked up at 12:18. Caught 12 whitefish in an hour and 17 minutes. All on top hook tipped with a waxie. I rarely catch one on the bottom, have been fishing a Swedish pimple. If any has other lures that work well please advise.

Saturday morning hot weather made for a great day on the water. Fished the reef to the north for a while with the perch guys then motored closer to Sugar creek. Trolled slow shallow, then deeper for over an hour. Then PK caught a 20 inch walleye around ten AM. A nice perch bit the crawler harness but then,so did a ton of white perch and sheepshead. Caught another 17inch walter before we ran out of crawlers. The two body baits went untouched.

Have to post after talking with buddies who fished the west side. We got a late start out of Chaudoir's after finding out the launch at Bayshore was packed Sat. am., so we headed north. Dragged plugs for two hours in 12-22 feet of water marking fish but catching none. The 46 degree water meant my token crawler harness went untouched but I had to try. Turns out crawlers were the ticket in the lower Bay out of Suamico where the temps were 60. What a difference some chop with warmer temps were from the clear cold stuff to the north. They sorted thru smaller fish but found keepers while we got skunked.

This is a multi day report. We had to bounce around a bit to get what we got, and it was tough! Sorry no B.S, but no pictures.
Thurday 4/30/2015 launched at the Quarry Couny park on the North side of Sturgeon Bay. Fished all over Sturgeon Bay with two boats. The best location was right where the Bay necks down to the shipping channel at the green sign, you know where I am talking about right. In 25' of water between the two boats, we caugh 5 fish, ranging in size from 27" to 30". Yes nice fish, we were rigging 6" Sucker's on a short 3' leader.
Friday 5/1/2015 was about the same. Launched at the Quarry again. Couldn't get anything to happen in Sturgeon Bay, Fished Green Bay, fished the shoreline break from the Quarry north 2-3 miles, nothing. Then fished the shoreline break in 8-12' of water from Sherwood Point to Sand Bay. Pulling spinners with Crawlers, we again were able to boat 5 fish. 4 were between 20"-26", and again pulled another 30". We were a bit frustrated, really 10 fish.
Saturday 5/2/2-15, again we laucnhed at the Quarry. We headeed across the bay to the mouth of the Peshtigo. Targeted the same 8-12 of water, the water ont the west side of the bay was 54 degrees verse the 46 stuff on the east side. Pulled spinners with crawlers. Between Nay Shore COunty Park and hte mouth of the Peshtigo, we boated 6 fish, all under 22". By 11:00 AM it had shut down. Cruised the shoreline and fished from the Oconto River North to Bay SHore County Park, boated 5 more under 20 inches. Again pullign spinners.
Sunday 5/2/2015, only had a couple hours in the morning to fish. Launched at the Quarry, fished the 10' breakline from Sherwood Point to Sand Bay. Today I caught 3 nice 19 & 20 inch smallies.
Needless to say I was beginnign to question whether I knew what i was doing or not. Talked to a few others who werre having similar luck to what Iwas having. Some guys got fish most didn't. If you diod congrats to you it was tough.
I made some guys day, when I came in for the day Sunday, another guys was launching his boat, I asked if he wanted some Sucker Minnows, he said he just bought soem but sure. I bet he get 10 dozen nice 5-6" Sucker minnows from me. Have a great day buddy.
