A few years ago i went to the Gile in July and then again in late August. The rock pile that laid just under the water in July was above my head when standing in the boat in August.

I want to land a 19' boat. I tried fishing the Gile one other time and wasn't able to get in because it was so low. Any bait shops or someone I could call? Thanks for the help!!!

I felt the same when I launched after not being out there since mid summer. Must be sending a lot of water over the dam.It has been quite dry the last month.

Saywer2 - I'm not saying I don't believe you, I'm just surprised. I was there in June and it seemed up.

MOON PHASE (96%)
Waning Gibbous
Was up a couple of days last week and did not do well at all, although in fairness we really struggled all last week on a few bodies of water in the vicinity.

Caught a few OK smallmouth on musky and bass cranks, a few incidental northerns, and that was it. Predominantly chased muskies for two days and didn't see one.
