Thanks on the Pike, it was pretty cool and it was the day after we got that huge amount of rain wasn't expecting to catch anything :-) and he is still in there eating little bluegills :-)
I did catch a golden color bass in the Menominee that looked exactly like that one and I did check the dorsal fin on that one and it was a small mouth.
I did notice the Menominee river is not far from these ponds so maybe some got in there.
I attached a pic of a very very similar fish from the Menomenee near Rotary Park.
One thing I have not seen is Green Sunfish in the ponds, I caught a ton of them in the Menomenee by Rotary Park at the end of August, must have been a late summer spawn in a feeder creek
