Fremont, wolf river by the wall
61° - 65° F
66° - 70° F
We started off in the morning using spinners, and took several fish on red, and purple sonic spinners, then changed over to red roaster tails as the Sun casted its rays on the river. For about 2 hours or so we just casted and hooked fish.
All mid-size males were taken, no females for the day. Makes you wonder if the run will be over soon? So we went to another spot further down the river and tried another method. Once we got to where we wanted to be, we changed over to splits shots, and a number 8 long shaft Mustad hook tip with minnow.
Slow retreive, and bam! That was the ticket, we caught over a 100 in a matter a hour. Still no females. I think by the coming weekend it will be pretty much over. What do you guys and gals think?
Good fishing and stay safe.
