Below 40° F
Was out yesterday on the Wolf River, water temp was 38.9 towards the end of the day. Landed six male walleyes while drifting. 3/8 oz. chartreuse jigs and a mixture of gulp and minnows. Ice and logs are still floating down, but definitely diminished quite a bit since earlier in the week.
Fishing will get better later in the week as temperatures continue to rise. I have a few openings left later this week, call for Spring rates and availability.
Tight lines, Captain Drew Grissman

Rule of thumb first stretch of 70 degree and sunny triggers them. I've filled coolers with a 58 degree water temp. This is for the fox river between omro and eureka. Have been out fishing walleye on a Friday and not a white bass to be caught and the next day you couldn't keep them off the line. My grandpa always told me the lilac bloom is the time and that's proven true for most part. The whiteys were thick in the fox through mid June last year. Got sick of them after two weeks. I'm sure the wolf is about the same.
