Any idea where the muskies all come from? Cause they’re not usually that common in a river the size of the Fox. Pewaukee Lake has a dam that leads out into the Pewaukee river which leads into the Fox nearby, that’s the only logical place I can think of them coming from. Otherwise Lake Tichigan to the South?
I was at the Fox in downtown waukesha last summer and saw a Muskie (30 inches or so) sitting in the current below the dam which surprised me as I didn’t expect to ever see a Muskie there, is this unusual? I figure they’re probably coming out of Pewaukee Lake

Had an hour to kill and fished below the damn. First time fishing the river. Cast Gulp minnows and crawlers all over and didn't get a bite. It was downright chilly out when the sun was behind a cloud and the wind started howling. No fish for me but saw another kid catch a few catfish or bullhead on crawlers.
Never knew about fishing the Fox in Waukesha. Im always more north or west. What parts of river have shore access that you're seeing musky and such? I have a feeling my 19' glass boat is a little to big for this river in that area. Thanks

Fished this morning. The river was pretty clear and I could see about 15 different species of fish swimming around. Caught a decent muskie on cut bait of all things. Lots of small to medium sized panfish.

Fished for 2 hours today. Caught a big carp on a jig and a minnow of all things. Caught a big dog fish and plenty of rockbass. A few other small panfish sprinkled in. Still seeing some big muskies swimming around!
