T_E68,

Fritze park has a decent area for fishing with an old train track bridge they turned into a walking/biking trail, Lutz park gets you right on the river, the damn across the street from Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah has produced walleyes at the right time of year, Jefferson park in Menasha is on the lake, the Rocketship park in Neenah has all kinds of shore both on the lake and in the bay. PM me if you have questions or are looking for a specific area. I spend 30+ years in the Fox Valley.

Good luck

New to the area was just wondering if anyone had any local fishing spots from shore that are easy to get to. Also any places that sell live bait

Was fishing down near lawe street bridge "the old rail road" and caught a nice size White bass. I was using a flick shad "Blue", not sure about the size but it's around 3-4 inches. Also caught some channel cats but they weren't too big. Just let the bait sit at the bottom and you should catch one. GL out there.

looks like the areas below the college bridge / the old foremost site is closed. drove down there and they are building a retirement home down there and it is totally blocked off. used to have a lot of fun with my buddies down there in high school and college catching smallmouth and catfish before we had boats. a real bummer that we lose the shore spots in good areas. not sure that our youth still heads to the river but if so, this is a big loss.

Anyone have any suggestions for good shore fishing in the area right now? Don't need to steal anyone's secret spot or secret bait, but would love some pointers! Getting my boat here May 1st, but want to do some shore fishing before then as well. Thanks!

Thank you! It's almost a year late, but that canoe happens to be my friend's. Do you still have it at your home? My friend and I were taking it down the fox river last summer and flipped it. Man, I wish I knew this website existed then. I don't think he has any paper work to prove it's his but we may have pictures of us using it somewhere. Could we arrange a time to pick it up?
