Me and a couple of jackasses from work fished here July 2nd from my boat. We got 5 Large Mouth bass that were small and 3 really small Northerns. Not bad for 2 laps around the lake just casting jigs and spinner baits

I drove out there the other day and the lake was very cloudy due to the rain and with the rain today and tomorrow I'm guessing it will be even more so.

Looking to head out to English over the weekend and wondering how the fishing has been. Also any information on catching some of those walleyes on here would be awesome. Taking my girls out and just wanted to save some time looking.

Ice Report: I know we all know its been warm for a while, but thought I might save some people a drive past to check this one out...

Around the outside there is only an inch at the most. The middle HALF of the lake is still wide open. As per usual that will freeze way later. Give it another week or two of cold temps and she'll be good to go.

6:00am only 1 person out before me, be cautious ice in 7ft about 7 inches only 5 in 12ft did not go any deeper caught 1 small crappie before sunup which is isnt bad for this lake in the winter. I was on the south side using red spikes they seem to work the best out there. Not sure how this lake will be this year with no weeds(was treated for milfoil in summer)
