This year I fished this lake over the 4th of July weekend. Very nice weekend and was out fishing in the rowboat everyday. BEAUTIFUL LAKE. I tried getting a small meal of panfish and found that the perch are very numerous in the Millfoil. If you try for a perch meal it shouldn't take you long. I also rowed deep diving crankbaits along the deep weed edges and caught a variety of fish. Smallmouth and largemouth being the most common. Also tagged into a couple of very nice healthy pike. Lost one at around the 34" range and girlfriend landed one that was around 31". The next time I go up I want to try for some nice crappies since I caught about a 13 incher rowing. I'm guessing casting beetlespins or hanging a minnow underneath a slip bobber. If anyone could give me any crappie feedback on this lake i'd greatly appreciate it.

Fished this lake in summer of 2007. My aunt has a cabin on it and seems like only the locals fish it. People don't talk much about it but I considered it one of the top smallmouth bass lakes i've ever been too. Has a public boat access and is a fairly small lake with a sandy bottom. Fish cribs have been placed all around the lake and produce keeper bluegills, crappies and a few large/smallmouth bass. The bouldered bottom by the island caught my eye the most since it is a very clear lake. I casted deep crankbaits letting them hit the boulders producing a few nice keeper smallies but constant average size ones. Biggest being 18 inches and very healthy. I also fished the millfoil with sucker minnows and slip bobbers catching a few nice smallmouths also. What I did notice was that the locals are very strict about the millfoil spreading. Do not drive in the area with motored boats since it is blocked off with boeys. Very good lake to just cast off the dock as far as you can and let a nightcrawler sit at the bottom. Every cast caught me fish. Smallmouth being the most common and big bluegills being 2nd.
