MOON PHASE (60%)
Waning Gibbous

Probably just never became established.

There is a whitebass run every spring below Chucks landing in Mosinee around late-may. Never caught a whitebass north of Mosinee personally.

Any reason that the catfish don’t go north of Wausau? I’d love to catch some up in Tomahawk but there’s none there. Also, is there white bass in Wausau?

Lake Wausau is about as far north as I'd fish cats. I've seen plenty of 30-33" cats caught near the domtar dam. Channels only. Caught a 25" last week by the 29 bridge actually.

Caught my biggest below moon dam.

Good luck.

Is this the farthest up the Wisconsin river that people catch catfish? I’ve heard of people in Wausau catching them. And can channel cats and flatheads both be caught at the Dubay Dam?

25,000 cfs.  Considering they close the landing at 13,000 cfs or so, the water is very high.  Hard to find fishable water.

I remember back in the late 70's early 80's we use to get stringers on mid 30" northerns below the dam early spring. I've got pics somewhere - pre digital.
