Going to be up in the Egg Harbor/Sister Bay area over the weekend. Didn't really plan on fishing, but after reading the last report I was thinking about giving it a try. I would be strictly on foot. Any suggestions on where to go? Mainly just whitefish this time of year? Thanks for any info.

Fished out of Sister Bay Wednesday and Thursday. Ice was very good varied from 12" to 20" . Fishing was slow, fish were there, just very finicky. I think our waxies weren't fresh enough. Ended up with 4 Wednesday and 2 Thursday A:M . Released and lost a few. Gold rap with tiny teardrop slider. Had bites on the teardrop only after removing the waxie.
MOON PHASE (62%)

Each day we continue to catch large numbers of quality Whitefish with limit catches happening every day some days limits being caught in just a couple of hours. We have been finding our best success still to be the Jigging Rapala and the jigging shad Rap some days they want the jigging Rapala other days they prefer the Jigging Shad Rap.
We have been finding much better fishing when the current is pushing in one direction or the other and when there is no current we find down sizing our baits gets more bites when the fish are not that active.
ICE CONDITIONS: The ice thickness in the areas that we are fishing is anywhere from 14 to 18 inches. There still continues to be some rough travel in areas but it has improved over the past couple of days with the warmer temps.
Good fishing and as always be safe!!
