Just wondering if anybody has been fishing lately and if they are running still?

Some pre-run action today. Two of us fished for 3.5 hours and only hooked up with this 28"/8lb chromer hen on a neon green x leg style stonefly nymph in a deep hole. Started with about 8inches of visibility and ended with about 12-14inches.

General report from steelhead season in door county from April 2014. Lots of Steelhead, not many biting. Tried spawn sacks, fly rod with streamers, fly rod with egg sucking leach and spoons/spinners, they just look at it and turn away..!! These guys get in spawn mode in the small creeks, good luck catching them... Best is probably on the way out post spawn and guess I missed that window of time! No catches this year, but in years past we have always found it better to fish the mouth of the creek or the edges of lake michigan wading. Anglers, for future sake, please be very concious of spawn beds in the creeks or "redds". It will be a noticable lighter spot in the creek bed. The steelhead future depends on taking care of these fragile creeks ecosystems!

Tight lines!

His name is Dan from The Reel Thing. He's located on Berner Street in Green Bay. You can reach him at 920-437-9776. Real nice guy and good live bait.

Try the REEL THING bait guy. He sells bait out of his house and usually has some. I don't have his number, but I know he's listed in the yellow pgs.
