going up here on Thursday until sunday and have never been to this lake before. i would like to catch a big variety of fish when im up here. i am really targeting largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern, bluegill, walleye, perch, crappie i am wondering what to fish because i have a large assortment of lures and was wondering where to go i really like trolling for like northern and have never caught a muskie so i don't know how i would like to fish them. the bass i like using plastic weedless frogs the best but rapalas are cool and plastic worms and would like good spots and good lures to use here

thank you

I fished Diamond a couple years ago. I liked the lake especially for bass. Lots of them by casting spinnerbait up in the weeds at lake edge. No really big ones but lots of 13-14". Also caught two muskie on a Chrome/black Rattletrap. Niether of legal size but fun. They were further out from shore. Heard someone had caught two over 50" the week before. We stayed at a private place on lake so did not have to run back and forth to Squirrel. We tried Squirrel one day but did not good. It is supposed to have both big Muskie and Smallmouth but never saw any of them.

I do not think Diamond is a great panfish lake although I could be mistaken. We did not catch any of any kind although did not fish specifically for them. Very small lake just kept going round and round. Bass most everywhere. Pike in the end away from the cut to Squirrel but no big ones. Enjoyable lake to fish. No water skiiers during morning and evening fishing hours. Idle speed only between 10am and 6pm If I remember right. I would go back although have been going further north to Presque Isle chain.

Good luck. Seminole Jack

Will be fishing on this lake July 5th through July 12th wondering if anyone could give me any info. Will be mainly targeting bass catch and release and some panfish for a fish fry. Will also try for musky. Areas techniques etc. would be appreciated. Will also be fishing on Squirrel and booth lake. Thak you ahead of time.
