MOON PHASE (83%)
Waxing Gibbous

On at 10:30, off at 3. Slow, slow and slower. We catch fish wherever we go,but not many. Lots of sorting. Red worms have been hot. Taking some nice gills deep in the weeds. Which means I get ZIP, because I don't use them.  But I still get my share. All of ours are coming out of 6 to 12 feet of water with heavy weeds. A little YADA YADA. They will no doubt throw me off. All the guys I have fished with are always complaining. They can't get into their wife's pants. I have no problem. I ware a size 38. Hers are a size 44. Best of luck to all.

Had a full day Monday with a great famliy we did the swap throughout day but the best was the first was the best we had a topwater with largemouth and pike and it started on first cast and lasted about a hour then it was Texas rig in weedlines and was largemouth and more pike although they were not the biggest they all gave up a great fight and brought on a big smile. The Texas rig slowed so we added the drop shot to the mix and it came thru in the afternoon with largemouth and another pike. Oh ya we did land two smallmouth one 3lb on weedlines and a little guy on rocks. Thanks guys and gals for a great day. Was back out today from 1am till 2pm Texas rig and weedlines one at 4lbs and plenty under. It took some moving to find them but when I did I caught a couple trod topwater nothing went deep nothing all weed originated today.

MOON PHASE
First Quarter

Fished Friday night it was slow for us. Has a few bass on and off. Took the time to drive around lake to look for new spots. Lots of floating weeds and water seemed murky. Saw this on way out.

On at 6a today off at 2p. Targeted crappies where I found them prior to the cold front,  nothing going. Moved around and finally found them in 34ft of water at about 11am. Game on until the pleasure boaters came out which disturbed the school of bait fish the crappies was following. Myself and fishing partner finished up with 34 very respectable crappies! Minnows/Rosie Reds on colored hooks and jigs.

MOON PHASE (12%)
Waxing Crescent

The bite has slowed a little. Saturday was a real grind. Took 8 hours for three of us to put 200 in the boat. Only about 50 would have been keepers. First time I have stayed out that long in a long time. But the clouds and cool air made it easy for me. The WOP was kicking my ass. But it made me fish harder to beat him. It is nice to see him get to be a good fisherman. He was changing lures and colors of plastic all on his own. He don't need me no more. At one point he put 5 nice fish in a row in the boat. It made me change and go after him. The  part where I got him, was when I said where do you want to start. He asked where did I want to start. I told him. He said, No. We got zip for the first four hours. Then we went where I wanted to go. The rest is history. Today was real bad in the morning. Jeff said where do you want to go. I told him. He said no. 3 hours later we went there. Caught some nice crappies. But the sun was too much for me today. Dr. WU say's, I can only stay out 3 hours in the sun. Plus my sciatica was killing me. So he dropped me off at the pier by the beach. He went back out. On his way out he had a pole fall overboard. Some where between the beach and lake lawn lodge. In 9 to 12 feet of water. If anyone finds a Gander Mountain rod with a Pflueger President reel. He will pay to get it back. I thought it was a nice thing to happen to him. Seeing as he gives me a ton of elder abuse. Next week is going to be a bummer. He is going deer hunting. John is still hurting from his accident. Willie died. So I guess I will spend a week in my garden. Best of luck to all.

Had a one man trip we started at 6am started with jigs and crawler with boat in 28ft casting up. This only lasted 20 min no walleye only two bites made move set up in 14 ft casting in with Texas rig and out with big tube and it was smallmouth out and largemouth casting in not as many big girls but we both had 4lb plus and the pike were eating our baits as we had two bite offs. The sun grew higher the bite slowed we made a move set up in 27ft casting up to weedlines the bigger largemouth were in the weeds and the little largemouth and pike were on drop off. I had two bite offs and a 30 inch pike took a bass while I was bringing in held it for a couple minutes then tried to eat it a second time. Ended day where we started I could get them to hit but could not hook up. Great morning thank you.
