Got out early today to beat the heat and the crowd but that didn't last long.... 80s by 7:30-8am and people wake boarding by that same time lol I should know better!  Upside was the fishing wasn't bad Crappie are still around weed edges and gills are scattered from 1-15ft of water so pick where ever the wave machine didn't put 100lbs of floating weeds and you should be good to go!

Good luck and BE SAFE!

On at 4, of at 8. Started off fishing gills in 3 feet of water. Pounded about 50, at least 25 keeper size. Then went south to look for crappies. Spot was way too full of slime even for me. Then went to fish rock bass. Caught a few of then. Then went back to looking for gills. We be hitting them pretty good in 7 feet. At 7:30 the crappies started. Caught some nice ones and ended the day with every one happy. Lake is on fire ! Every one should be able to catch some fish. Best of luck to all.

On at 5:15 off at 9:00 am - targeted panfish - we took home a dozen nice crappie - was not hot and heavy by any means for us.  Jig and plastics was the winner for us.  They did not want anything to do with a bobber - had to be in their face to get a bite.  6 foot or less - sandy gravel bottom areas outproduced weed edges for us. My bud killedem on Thursday - hit same spots and not as good today.  64F in main lake. Good to be out - tight lines

I did not go today. I was out yesterday. Weed cutters are out in full force. Floating weeds and green slime EVERY WHERE, both sides of the lake. I was picking it off every cast. The green slime was floating past us in some spots from the top of the water down 6 feet. I just cast to any clear spot, or what looked like a clear spot. Let my little jig float down till it was below the crap, then start my retrieve.  I was rewarded with some nice gills, very nice crappies, a walleye along with 2 bass on my 2 inch presentation. Nothing you can do. Either fight it or move on.

Lol accidentally deleted my post - basically said spent a few hours last night chasing Waldos and trying to learn the night thing on Big D. Just starting to night fish her. Caught one Waldo - located a few in 8’ or less. Only threw cranks - my ole lucky Thunderstick coaxed one to the boat again. Thing has to be 15 years old. Finally found a decent pack but they must have smelled me coming. Coulda used some wind. Floating crap all over. Not sure why it doesn’t bother Hero but....he is Hero the Fish Whisperer. Nice to be out - tight lines- Sully

Tryin:

nothing like you had thanks for keepin’em away from me - or they smelled me comin like the Waldos

Was also out last night, what a mess this lake is. What gives?, I have fished other lakes in Kenosha county recently and they are fine. This green slime is everywhere around the lake out to 15 to 20 ft, makes fishing the shallows next to impossible. I don't know if you had problems with bugs Ice junky, but I never saw anything like that . It sounded like someone was flying a drone about a foot over my head, they were just thick out there.

As far as a fishing report I caught a few northern pike and a nice small mouth bass. Was trying for walleye s but could not see past the bugs to tell where I am casting.

Today was "Fun Day off" ....with Pete..or as We call it " Old Farts on the water" ....Fish are Just about everywhere...Crappies are spawning in weeds 6 to 11 ft..Gills are shallow in weeds...No weeds....No Fish.  Main Lake is 64 to 67d between 9 and 4pm , respectively. LL Harbor was 70d.  We caught both Pan species in same spots....Gills shallower Than Crappies.

BTW...The fish forecast  ( moon Phase) for today was Not Good....But you'd never know it!!! Sorry no pix....

Had a one man from 4pm till 8pm fished gills and can you say docks with bobbers and wax worms. We started with bigger jigs and while we were getting them when we switched to smaller jigs we caught bigger gills and you have to keep moving till you find the bigger ones then stop till they slow move on. We found the most where the sun was shinning on dock and there was scum. The big thing was keeping the jig/waxworm clean. Great day with a awesome angler took home 23 between 8 and 9.5 inches
