Went out on crystal lake a week ago. We caught 9 bluegill and a perch in a little over 3 hours of fishing slow but was nice to not have many people around us
New report!! I haven't seen it myself, but heard there is another spot of open water 200 yards out from Crystal Lake Estates near the bout launch. I know there'a a crack cutting the lake in half near, it musted busted open pretty good. I have a bad feeling with this cold snap they will skin over maybe a little snow on top and some one will drop there truck through the ice. Not every fisherman is on this website so please spread the word!!! Stay safe my friends.

Ice is about 7'' thick. I'd feel safe with an ATV. Got about 3 inches of snow last night. I plan on getting my permanent out there tomorrow. Watch out there is still open water near the SE corner. Spread the word, keep people safe!!
Just wondering if you are able to drive ATVs on the ice yet? Unfortunately I moved this fall about an hour away from Crystal (versus the 15min drive I used to have) so haven’t been able to check it at all. Hoping to come up this evening for some crappies but don’t want to drag the wheeler up if its not safe. Thanks guys

Tried for gills around noon today, and last week haven’t been able to find an active bite in bays or out on the main lake. Might just be picking the slow days
