Does anyone have a current ice thickness? Ty
Crooked Lake, Sheboygan County
Jig, there is always a bunch of people out there. I guess alot of people enjoy catching the potato chip size crappie and silver dollar gills that are left in there.
Used to be a great crappie lake, but over harvesting and extreme pressure from people who would rather take home a bucket of 4 inch gills than admit they didnt catch a keeper have ruined the lake. The rest of the lakes in the area are going the same way unfortunately.

Landlocked for a bit on doctor’s orders so I hit the pier last night at sunset and sunrise this morning. 5/7 on northerns including this 27’’ and 30’’er. Also missed the biggest bass of my life when it dove under the pier and wrapped the line around the support. Aaargh! All CPR’d

Had an hour to burn around 0930 so headed to my favorite spot with a swim jig and twister tail. Slow bouncy retrieve in about 10 FOW and BAM! This gorgeous 20’’er hit. Easily 5+ lbs. Swimming so I can catch her again

As the weeds along the shorelines fill in the fish move toward the only structure in the lake. Coming in thick now and water level is a little low. Working the outside edge along the island road with a lipless crank turned up a thick 26’’ northern and this nice 17’’ bass. Both still swimming.
