My family will be camping in the area this weekend and was wondering if anyone can give me hot spots on the lake or baits they use to get some northern and gills. Anything is appreciated.
l will have the Fisherie results posted when i get the official copy.
If people would scrool down all the info for the fisherie was listed and I responded to all questions and conserns in a timely matter.
To me its funny how many people registered fish but cant wait til they are called out at 515. and then not around to claim there prise?
Once again thanks for everyone that came out and suported the Crooked lake sports club hope every one had a great time.
If you all have comments I would like to hear them so if there are any big decrepancys we can address them. Input is important.
Thanks The Club Persident Dave
The pike seemed to be anywhere from 5 to 15 fow. They didn't seem very aggressive. The few our group caught had looked like little perch fingerlings come out when getting the hook out. Fished by the beach by four seasons found 3 big wholes with the biggest being 18 inches so be real careful they should have hardened up by now
Ice firmed up overnight, still a little layer of slush. Walked in from the DNR landing on the south end of the lake. Ice was a little soft right there but if it stays cold should be fine in a day or 2.
Fished 12-18 FOW used tungsten dingle drops with a waxie and chandelier jigs with waxies. Dark colors seemed to be the preference. Fished the point to the west of the landing with a sharp drop off. Results- few 8" gills and a couple of descent perch.... had over 30 dinks.
Wish whoever was running the ice fishing thing had better signs/info.I gave up trying to find out who was running it and just went fishing .
Landings and ice seemed to firm up over night and through out the day. As fir fishing it was slow for us. We ended up with 6 keeper gills and a bunch of small pan fish. One northern that was 25-3/4" and a few other small pike. Can someone post fisheree results?
