MOON PHASE (90%)
Waning Gibbous

Had a slow week with changin weather. Rain, sun, cold front, storms, then sun. Morning and evening were best. Not much for pan fish size, had some small northers and bass and one 28” Musky. Kids had fun!

I didn't do so well. Tried piers and docks got a few little bluegills. We had a tree fall on our cabin the first hour there. Tried night fishing on a nice hump with leeches/slip bobbers, nothing. hard lake to fish without electronics. not a lot of structure. Also my kids ear ruptured, so a visit to St. Mary's E.R. we always have the Griswald vacation. very nice lake, and nice community. we shall return

Heading up for a week of vacation 8-21 through 8-28.  Somewhat familiar with the lake. Have done well with pike, some Musky, looking for panfish ideas for the kids. Don’t care about size just some action for them. Never tried for Walleye but would like to give it a whirl if any suggestions.

Is it worth it?  Is it worth it only if you catch one?  Is it worth it if you only have a follow or two?  Is it worth it if you don't see or catch anything but still have a good time?  I'd say take the gear.  There are some very nice Muskies to be had in Crescent.

okay looking into this lake, i see there are musky in crescent? is it worth taking up space bringing my musky gear? if yes, any pointers? we are a CPR family unless we get some pan fish for the pan. I would like to try and have a fish fry while in the north woods.

If you see a little 12ft Starcraft with an old Evinrude,  the week of 8/6 come and say hi. (also so i can pick your brain about where to fish in the area/different lakes)
