We get up there a couple times a winter and do ok with the pike and walleyes on Connors. You’ll find more people on Lake of the Pines fishing for Crappies. Good luck!

Full Moon

Wondering if anyone ice fishes Connor lake?  We just got a cabin up there and want to give it a try. I also heard there are some springs to watch out for.  Can someone let me know where they are?

Whoever told you about the spring hunt is SO full of crap it's not funny.  Ranks right up there with the DNR dropping cages with rattlesnakes, via parachute, that open upon landing, to control turkey populations.

Or, the best I ever heard: The DNR releasing cougars in Adams County to control the deer populations.

Looking for a ice, and lake report for the lakes?  This has not been the best spring on the Sawyer Co. lakes.  Heard the DNR might have a spring goose/duck hunt for our lakes due to the over population of waterfowl.

MOON PHASE (61%)
Waxing Gibbous

CONDITIONS
Partly Sunny

ICE DEPTH
7 inches
Made it up north this past weekend, fished Connors. This was the weekend NYE. There was about 7-8" of ice where I was fishing. Landed a couple pike and small musky on tips up and a few small walleye. Chased flags all weekend but most were spitting the bait before we could get to them. All fish were released.

Easy laddy, Connors is but one lake "Up North". There are many reports from what you call up north. Miller dam chetek red cedar lake rice lake turtle lake chippewa flowage turtle flowage Chequamagon bay to name a few. As for connors lake i know it has never had a lot of reports. We had a place in Hawkins and spent some time up there. It didnt get a ton of pressure if memory serves. (in the winter) Might have something to do with lack of reports.

Did not make it down to Conners but there we a couple of guys fishing on Butternut and said they were out on about 2" of ice on Saturday.  Lake was open on Wednesday.  If we do not get a lot of snow, ice conditions should be good for walking this weekend.
