We fished the north end of Connors this weekend. Fishing was nothing special, but steady and engaging. Primarily targeted walleye on tip ups, also so made an attempt at northerns in 3-10 feet of water with medium shiners with no success. Walleyes bit best from 7-9 am and 4-6 pm. You can just about forget about your tip ups between those two times. Caught walleyes on crappie minnows, sucker minnows, medium shiners, but had our best luck on fat heads. Caught the most fish at 20 feet but got fish all the way from 10 to 22 feet. In roughly 16 hours of fishing, we ended up with 10 fish of which only two were keeper walleyes and one was a small perch. We probably had 2 false sets to every fish we caught, so we ran to plenty of tip ups and had a lot of fun. Hope this report helps you catch more fish! Happy fishing!
