MOON PHASE (98%)
Waxing Gibbous

Fished como today and caught fish just about every cast. Problem is they were almost all small Crappie, too small to keep. If they grow up it should be pretty good two or three years from now. Also caught about a 30" northern on a beetle spin and six pound mono. Released her to eat more little crappie.

Went out a week ago in really strong wind. Caught a mini perch and a tint crappie. Stayed for an hour till I could not take the wind anymore.

Hey ice freaks!!! Im going to go out and freeze my arse off tomorrow and punch a few holes. I want to stay local in case its a complete Bust-O!! i was thinkin of Chapman in stanley como in bloomer or maybe glenn lake or tainter.

This will be a "i just need to catch some panfish" sort of trip. ive never fished glenn como or El Chapo. tainter ive spent a great deal of time on.

Need a quick response on this one as ill be bugging out first thing in the morning. Tell me which lake you would choose and why. Ill post a full and detailed 5051 when i return to base.

Was out today from 11 to 12:30 a few nice gills and missed more than my share. Not that they were biting light but I was a bit slow on the trigger lost a few at the hole but was a good time to be out. No tip-ups today for me but saw a few being used and didn't see a flag so at least I didn't loose money on bait Wink

Was out yesterday 1-19-12 caught a few nice perch a real nice gill a small bass all on jigs pink and orange and grubs no flags but very cold -5 to -10 60 to 65 in the shack real nice. Has anybody been doing any good out here for the northern as this has always been a good lake to introduce young anglers to tip-ups just don't want to bring the kids out to get skunked any advice would be helpful as I haven't fished this lake much the past few years.
