How is the fishing for bluegill, crappie and walleye? Headed in September for a try for musky. But also, the wife likes to fish for panfish. Any size to them?

stayed at the pine point for the week of july 9- 16. fishing was very slow. out of a group of 8 guys fishing, we boated 5 bass, with the largest at 17" one muskie that was 35" and several smaller pike. panfish are all small, did not catch one over 6" the place was great to stay at, the mosquitos and biting flies horrible, and the fish fry at the elkhorn was dynamite!

I was staying on Lower Clam the week of july 2-9. The weather was perfect, fishing was great. Water is way up from last year for sure. The water was extremely warm, one day it was 82. I was with a large group of family and in all we caught about 5 muskies. A lot of muskies snap my line fishing for bass in the weeds, a few hits and multiple follows. I caught 3 the biggest being about 40". The muskie pictured was about 32" or so. Actually, I caught a couple muskies just off the dock with a topwater around midnight. Bass fishing was decent, especially in the south bay. Tried for walleyes a little bit but no luck. This was also the first time i've seen northern in here. All fish released. Worth a trip out for sure! Good luck Big Smile

Well fished lower clam lake July 29-Aug 5th. What a great time we had fishing this lake. The very first night out on the lake I had a muskie slam my bait. First time I ever hooked a muskie so I had some fun for about a minute before he or she was able to spit the lure out. Caught bluegills, perch, crappies and some nice walleyes. Two nice ones at 15" and 20". Most of the fish were to small to keep but the kids had a blast catching fish. Saw a few guys every morning and evening fishing for muskie. North end of the lake seemed to be the most productive for us. By the way what qualifies a lake as a Class "A" Muskie Lake.
